Abstract : Ultra high performance concrete(UHPC) is a kind of ultra high strength concrete with a strength range of 100MPa to 200MPa. It is a steel fiber reinforced concrete without coarse aggregate. Now China is No.1 worldwide according to its usage amount. A national standard “Reactive Power Concrete” is issued this year. A state-of-art report is given in this paper about the production and application of UHPC in China. UHPC is used to produce cover plates of cable trough or sidewalk step plate in the construction of high-speed railway. They have lighter weight and longer service life than normal concrete elements. A specification of design and production of these elements was issued in 2012 by Chinese Ministry of Railway. These elements have been used for thousands of high-speed railway. Some testing railway and highway bridge girders were produced and their performance was investigated in laboratory and on real bridges. UHPC element of sound barrier is tested on a railway line in Province Sichuang. A trial project of composite UHPC board on orthotropic steel bridge deck was done to improve its fatigue feature. Cast-insite UHPC is used for the quick repair and strengthening of structure.
