Abstract : This paper presents the methods of improvement of bond behavior between recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) and deformed steel bar. The bond behavior between RAC (100% recycled concrete aggregate) and 10 mm diameter deformed bar is investigated for concrete with normal mixing approach as well as with two stage mixing approach. Load vs slip curves are plotted for both mixing approaches by conducting four different experiments in each case. The bond test results are also compared for virgin aggregate concrete and found similar load vs slip curve for concrete with TSMA. Hence, the experimental results increase the motivation for using the construction and demolition (C&D) waste for new construction work for preservation of natural resources.
