Abstract : This paper outlines the Concrete in Australia Recommended Practice Z7/07 “Performance Tests to Assess Concrete Durability” [1]. Z7/07 provides guidance on performance tests specific to the requirements of the durability design, implementation and maintenance management. In many cases there are several test methods which supply similar information. Where possible the limitations and advantages of these methods are reviewed and a recommendation provided on which test is the most suitable for specification in Australia. Z7/07 considers the current design guides, codes and Australian practices in order to provide methods of testing to show whether durability performance requirements and criteria set out in the design documentation have been met.
