Abstract : Construction world is changing very fast, demand and instant supply of cheaper and durable structure is compelling the industry to adopt new techniques to suit above requirements. Use of light weight material is playing important role in manufacturing of light weight structures. Design of structure is directly related to mainly dead load of structure and its strength. This can be achieved by using light weight concrete which plays important role in total weight of the structure. Other factor is the finishing materials e.g. wall panels, flooring, which can be made lighter by using prefabricated material. Sustainable green structures with Aerated Auto claved Concrete (AAC), a recycled, plastic waste, fiber reinforcement used for manufacturing light weight structures etc are being used at present. Now new concepts and innovations are coming up for using light weight structures on moon by using raw material available on moon & selected material from earth. This paper discuss above issues in short which will give glimpses' of big revolution coming in construction industry in near future
