Abstract : In the last few years a rising number of new standards and protocols have arisen both in thermal and acoustics performances. In the same time, customers want to buy buildings which even if there are many of them in a single building, has to be very quiet. So new standards worldwide have been born in order to supply to designers different solutions to achieve these peculiar aims. In this paper a new flat block with high acoustic and thermal performances is presented. This peculiar case is shown from the beginning of the design until the last test before selling it to the final customer. Tests were carried out according to ISO 717 and ISO 140 in order to determine the acoustic results. Then these performances were compared to UNI 11367 (Italian Standards for acoustics classification of buildings) in order to achieve the best class proposed.
